I have a lifetime of enjoyment and experience in a variety of art forms. My interests have grown out of my love of drawing and painting, working with children, and always striving to explore new possibilities. I started as a teacher, and continue to teach part time for the Summer Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, small group lessons in my home and through the Off-Campus School at the Chippewa Valley Technical College.

   Leaving full-time teaching to spend more time at home when my children were young, I worked as an illustrator first at UWEC in the Media Development Center, then in a publishing firm creating cartooned filmstrips, inventing games, and illustrating parent and children's manuals. My freelance experience grew to include posters for educational programs at NSP, caricatures for parties, children's programming, and cartoons in a variety of publications.

   In the past several years I have expanded to include working as an artist-in-residence at schools creating murals, which in turn led to requests for custom painting on walls and furniture in homes. I have painted scenes in featured homes in the Parade of Homes, and samples of my commercial work can be seen in Eau Claire at Border's Books, Sweetwater's Restaurant, Omne Clinic, and Sacred Heart Hospital's Pediatric Floor.
